Welcome to our Nursery
Starting in our Nursery is the beginning of an exciting journey through Hardwick Primary School. Our Nursery opened following increasing demand from existing parents and our local community, and offers funded places to children from the age of 2 years old.
From the moment your child joins us our Nursery team invests all their time and energy in helping them settle in, develop their interests, make friends, learn lots of new and exciting things and come out each day with a smile! The foundations we build in Nursery are crucial to each child developing a love of learning and being ready to start in Reception.
Our Nursery is open term time, and the Nursery start and finish times support the school day as many of our parents have siblings in both nursery and the main school.
Term Time Nursery 8:40am-3:15pm every day

- 30 hours funded place: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday all day. Wednesday until 1:00pm

We provide a safe and secure setting in which children have access to a vibrant and stimulating indoor and outdoor area. We encourage children to develop their skills and independence through play-based learning.
There are regular Nursery open mornings to show new parents around the school and Nursery, but if there isn’t an open morning coming up our school office team can still arrange a convenient date for you to pop in and see us. We encourage all new parents to come and visit our Nursery and meet our staff team. When you are ready, please apply via the latest application form available in our Nursery Admissions section.
We look forward to meeting you!
The Nursery
We have 2 large rooms in the indoor space that children are able to access ensuring that all children are able to access a calm space with room to extend their play.
We also have a large garden where children are able to develop their skills e.g. running, jumping, climbing steps as well as develop a love of the outdoors e.g. exploring, problem solving, working as a team.
If you would like more information or would like to arrange a visit please call the school office or email: info@hardwickschool.org
